Course Objectives

  • Compare the key development in apparel shopping during the twentieth century and different apparel shopping environments available to consumers the birth and evolution of changing fashions, fashion adoptions, diffusion of innovations, and consumer behaviors
  • Utilize database to extract and manage economic indicator data from government and global databases.
  • Examine the data compiled with available databases account to analyze consumer trends and buying patterns and establish economic movements in apparel.
  • Review key variables on decision making concerning apparel purchasing and establish an understanding of post purchase behavior
  • Discuss consumer misbehavior in the marketplace as it relates to social responsibility and fashion consumptions
  • Reflect and critically analyze on their own personal apparel consumption and how it impacts our environment
  • Build on peer reviews and effectively use peer’s evaluations on how the data is being communicated
