Trouble signing up for a UA Pressbooks account? Make sure you’re using your @arizona.edu email address to Sign Up (@email.arizona.edu emails are being phased out). We recommend using your UA NetID as your username (e.g., wilbur). Once you’ve created your free Pressbooks account, you’ll be able to use your UA NetID and password next time you Sign In (select the Use Your UA NetID button).

User Guides

The Pressbooks User Guide goes into depth on both basic and advanced features of Pressbooks, such as creating footnotes, setting up a table of contents, editing your book’s CSS, and testing your ebook across multiple platforms. It also has a section with comprehensive instructions on how to use Pressbooks features that are specific to educational publishing.

A Guide to Making Open Textbooks with Students is for faculty interested in practicing open pedagogy by involving students in the making of open textbooks, ancillary materials, or other open educational resources.

  • Do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any person or entity
  • Do not infringe on the rights of privacy of others.

If you would like to request removal of digital materials from Pressbooks, you can submit a request to the UA Libraries’ Scholarly Communication Librarian. More information is available on our policy page.
