Summary:

This lesson was adapted from an activity developed as part of the CALTA 21 curriculum. This is designed as a gallery lesson, to be conducted in the museum, but could be adapted in the classroom by posting images on the walls and creating a makeshift gallery. This lesson is easily adaptable to different levels. It can work as an introduction to self and other descriptions, as is often found in beginning level curricula. It can be used as a getting-to-know-you activity at later levels. And it can be adapted to be used when learning about a particular time period or literary work, by selecting images that are relevant. One of the most important advantages of asking the students to take on the perspective and even body language of a portrayed figure is that they have to reflect on identity and perspective as it is embodied and by using multiple senses (sight, sounds, smells, possible even tastes and touches), which also encourages richer description than is often used in comparable activities.

Muhtasari: 

Somo hili limeteuliwa kutoka kwa zoezi lililobuniwa kama mtaala wa CALTA 21 curriculum. Somo hili limeundwa kama la sanaa litakalofanyika kwenye makavazi vilevile darasani kwa kutundika picha ukutani ili kuleta mandhari sawia na ya nyumba ndogo ya sanaa. Somo hili linaweza kutumika katika viwango mbalimbali. Linawezatumika kujitambulisha au kuwatambulisha wengine, na katika matumizi ya lugha yanayopatikana katika viwango vya awali vya mitaala. Somo pia linawezatumika  na watu kujifunza katika viwango vya baadaye. Vilevile linawezatumika kujifunza kuhusu kipindi fulani katika kazi ya fasihi, kwa kuchagua picha husika. Mojawapo ya faida kuu ya kuhusisha  mtazamo wa wanafunzi katika somo hili au pia ishara ya mwili ya watu waliopo kwenye picha ni kuwa wanapata nafasi ya kutafakari maswala ya utambulisho na mtazamo kwa kutumia hisia mbalimbali (kuona, sauti, harufu, pengine hata ladha na kugusa), hisia ambazo zinahimiza maelezo bora kuliko shughuli zingine zinazotilia mkazo ulinganishi.

Malengo ya somo:

  • Kuweza kueleza bayana mtu kwa maneno rahisi;
  • Kuhusisha mtazamo wa aliyewakilishwa katika kazi ya sanaa na kujieleza katika nafasi hii.

Chagua mchoro, yaani, sanaa inayowakilisha binadamu. Tengeneza orodha ya maneno utakayotumia kumfafanua mtu kwa kujaza jedwali hili.

Nomino (Je, huyu ni nani? Ana nini? Je,ni nani na nini kiko kwenye picha? Je, anaona, kuskia na kunusa nini?) Vivumishi (Je, huyu mtu anafananaje? Je, mazingira yako vipi? Ni harufu gani iliyopo na ni sauti zipi zinasikika?) Vitenzi (Je, huyu mtu anafanya nini? Je,watu wengine wanafanya nini katika mazingira yao?)
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Sasa tazama maonyesho ya mtu huyu na umuige. Iga ishara za mwili. Je, unaskia, kuona na kunusa nini?


Baada ya kupata  hisia za mtu huyu, andika aya moja kutokana na mtazamo wa mtu aliyedhaniwa. Anza kwa kutumia maneno haya “mimi ni…” Jieleze bayana na ufafanue mazingira yako kikamilifu.
